A Mother in a Million
You were more than my mum. You were my safe place, my gist partner, a confidant.
Mummy, I can’t forget in a hurry your priceless sacrifice right from cradle to adulthood. You were very supportive of Dad till the end. You were always there for us and the entire family and us.
You and our dad instilled spiritual virtue in us from a young age. You loved us dearly and sacrificed your career/work life for us. You and Dad were Redeemers to the core; you never missed the RCCG Holy Ghost night travelling from Lagos to the Redemption Camp every first weekend of the month. You both were ordained as Pastors of the RCCG. For many years, you both lectured at The Redeemers Bible College Ebute Metta and Okota Campus, Lagos, Nigeria. You were a Sunday Teacher, Parish Mummy, Area Mummy, and Provincial Women's leader for many years. You gave your all to serve God to the end. Days prior to your painful exit, you joined the RCCG Nigeria in the 14-day fast towards the congress, and you participated fully in the recent Dec 2025 RCCG Holy Ghost Congress every day until the last day. You were a dedicated Christian.
You were strong and healthy. You loved to go out and were always full of life until your last minute on earth. You recently travelled alone to the US and came back to Calgary in October, 2025. You were looking forward to your UK trip in Summer 2026. That is one place you longed to visit again because it's been a while. We had it all planned out, but God had a better plan.
Mum, your wealth of wisdom was second to none. You were always calm in all situation even when things may seem tough, you held to the promises of God, and God always came through. Your steadfastness to God’s promise was unwavering till the end.
Sun re o Mummy mi.
